Mike is a great instructor with tons of experience. My son enjoys him as a teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering lessons.

About Me

Mike Esparza grew up a Kent, Washington native, and started playing guitar at the tender age of 8 years old. He attended the Art Institute of Atlanta Georgia, and then transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where he studied music engineering. He later moved south to Olympia, Washington and currently lives in Yelm with his wife and two children.

He was self taught up until his early twenties when he took professional lessons to learn music theory and hone his vocal techniques. He mastered his skills playing and singing in bands, projects, collectives and doing solo work up and down the I-5 corridor. In 1991 he started teaching guitar and over the years, expanded his lessons to include different types of instruments, covering various musical styles and genres.

Mike is always focused on delivering a high-end learning experience by using his program to customize lessons based on age and skill level. Then, by setting goals, achievement levels and performances, makes every student feel like a rock star. Providing a clear path to success gives his students confidence and makes learning fun!

Mike continues to expand his knowledge and experience and strives to inspire all his students to achieve their goals while having fun doing it!
